To be a part of AU Athletics a whole means something very special to me. It means working hard to become better. It means making everyone else better around me and just being a really good role model. It’s a really tight-knit community here. So, if you’re struggling in the classroom or if you have a bad play on the ice, we all come together as one. And we all have a great support system. You’re not just going to be a number. You’re going to be somebody who makes a difference at this school. That’s why I chose Aurora University. We’re almost all, like, on the same team. We all have our individual sports, but like the saying “We Are One AU,” it’s nice to know we’re all here for the same goal. I love my professors here. They not only know you by name, but they really push you to be successful in the classroom. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad professor here. There are definitely ones that challenge you and definitely ones that make you work hard, but that’s what you expect at the college level. They work with you. I play lacrosse, but I support everyone else here and you’re not only being a part of the lacrosse team, you’re part of Aurora University, so you’re supporting everything that comes with that. And it’s just awesome. To be part of the AU Athletics Team, it means that you’re part of a winning tradition and success. To be a part of that, you have to have that higher standard that you’re one of the top athletes in the nation. I cannot see myself anywhere else because I have gained so many new friendships. AU has pushed me to be the best person ever, both in the classroom and on the sports field.
