I’ve been experimenting a lot with the Starboard’s prone Foil Surf boards. Just today, we went out on the downwinder. I was super impressed on how they were pumping and keeping up in the downwind conditions. Of course, we know they were great in the surf. Another really fun twist to the foil surf program is this 5’6″ x 21.5″ at 59 Litres is actually enough for me to also SUP Surf as well. So I could be able to SUP Foil and Prone Foil both the same board. The full outline and wide nose allow for great stability while paddling out on your chest. It also allows for great tracking ability. The short length makes it super maneuverable and stable while foiling. Being out these smaller sizes, it makes it much easier to travel with as well. The thick rails pack volume into a short length providing enough buoyancy to paddle into waves easily. The flat rocker adds for fast and comfortable planing speed while paddling. While the nose kick up front gives you nice ability for steep take-off and prevents nosedive. These boards include a 10″ track box so, you could move your mask to a variety of positions with your plate mount. All boards and all sizes available in Starlite and Blue Carbon. These boards come in 4’8″, 5’2″, 5’6″ and 6’0″ Whether you are just getting into the sport of Hydro Foiling or whether you’re in it to push the limit, I’ll see you on the water.
